FIELD: centrifugal apparatus or machines for carrying out physical or chemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises drum provided with the base and lid, stack of conical plates, plate holder having lid and housing, chambers for preliminary separation of emulsion, zones for receiving light fraction interposed between the chambers, pressure chambers for light and heavy fractions with the pressure disks, and supplying pipe. The top section of the zones for receiving the light fraction are connected with the zone for discharging light fraction defined in the chambers of preliminary separation and passages defined by the walls of the receiving zones for the light fraction. The outlet of the passages that enter the zone for discharging the light fraction from the chambers of preliminary separation is arranged nearby the outer surface of the top section of the housing of the plate holder. When the separator is in operation, the inlet of the passages that discharge the mixture of light fractions from the zone for discharging to the pressure chamber is positioned in the layer of the light fraction housed in the pressure chamber.
