SEPARATOR FOR EMULSIONS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for separation of emulsions into fractions in centrifugal force field. SUBSTANCE: separator includes drum having base with hole and cover; pack of plates installed on plate holder with its body and supporting cone for plate pack; separating-feeding chambers separated by partitions and receiving zones of light fraction located between partitions. Separator also includes device for introduction of initial emulsion and withdrawal of light and heavy fractions. Body of plate holder has additional cone forming together with hub a channel for passage of initial emulsion and forming together with supporting cone, zone of primary separation of emulsion separated by partitions into sectors which are connected with separating-feeding chambers. Receiving zones of light fraction are confined by inclined bottom plates secured to plate holder supporting cone and by streamlined walls rigidly connected with body and supporting cone of plate holder by additional partitions doubling the number of separating-feeding chambers. EFFECT: higher capacity of separator in separation of milk and other emulsions. 3 dwg
