FIELD: electrolytic solutions such as those for double-layer capacitors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electrolyte having electric conductivity over 20 mS/cm at 25 °C incorporates at least one solvent whose dielectric constant is higher than 10, at least one solvent whose viscosity is lower than 1 centipoise, and at least one salt that enhances electric conductivity of electrolyte. Electrochemical double-layer capacitor using mentioned electrolytic solution is also proposed.
EFFECT: enhanced conductivity of electrolytic solution that does not emit prussic acid on occurrence of accident.
