FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrolyte for a double-layer electrochemical capacitor. According to the invention, the electrolyte contains an ionogen in the form of a 1,1-dimethylpyrrolidinium tetrafluoroborate salt and a mixture of organic solvents, where the main solvent is acetonitrile and the co-solvent is methylcyclopentyl ether.
EFFECT: expansion of the temperature range of operability of a double-layer electrochemical capacitor to a rated voltage of 3.2 V to the range from minus 65° to 65°C without a significant decrease in capacitive characteristics over the entire operating temperature range, including after 10,000 charge-discharge cycles, as well as the possibility of discharge at minus 60° with currents not lower than 0.5 A/g.
