FIELD: medicine, ultrasound ways of studying.
SUBSTANCE: one should predict the flow of intestinal obstruction, measure intestinal diameters in area of its most widened loop at ultrasound studying for one and the same intestinal loop when a patient appeared and after conservative therapy performed. One should detect a prognostic index by the increase or decrease of which it is possible to conclude upon either progressing or interrupting intestinal obstruction. Additionally, for detecting a prognostic index at performing every ultrasound testing one should conduct ultrasound histography to obtain the values of the average acoustic impedance of intestinal digesta in area of the same most widened intestinal loop. Prognostic index should be determined by the formula: A=B/C, where B - maximal intestinal diameter measured at ultrasound trial; C - average acoustic impedance of intestinal digesta in area of maximal diameter detected at ultrasound testing.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of prediction.
