METHOD FOR OBTAINING ERYTHROCYTE-CONTAINING MASS FOR REINFUSION Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, transfusiology.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with methods for the purpose to prevent acute hemorrhagic anemia during operations associated with massive blood loss. The method suggested deals with blood sampling out of cavities during operative interference in case of massive hemorrhages followed by application of doubled containers and centrifuging, moreover, blood loss should be compensated due to sampling patient's lost blood out of blood-impregnated napkins, tampons, clots to collect all blood into sterile vial with perforation at its bottom to be placed into another sterile vial with sterile physiological solution that contains clotting-preventing preparations; an external vial should be tightly closed with adjacent cap to be centrifuged with an internal one, then internal vial should be removed, suspension of erythrocytes and formic elements of blood should be repeatedly centrifuged, physiological solution should be removed to collect erythrocyte-containing mass for immediate auto-reinfusion. The present innovation removes the risk for complicated caused due to introduction of donor's blood along with high degree of blood loss compensation due to patient's auto-blood.
