FIELD: mechanical engineering; elevators.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bucket elevators with chain traction member and catcher. Proposed bucket elevator has column, drive and tension sprockets, two-chain endless traction member closed on sprockets with buckets secured on its leaf chains in between, support rollers and fixed guides installed inside column for interaction with chains of uptake strand of traction member. Support rollers are made in form of twin sprockets for engagement through teeth with bushings of leaf chains both of uptake and downtake strands of traction member. Overrunning clutch is installed on axle of twin sprocket, and fixed guides are installed at level of said twin sprockets from outer sides of two-chain traction member with clearance relative to chain on column. Distance 1 between circumference described by outer edges of teeth of twin sprocket and fixed guides is taken from 0<1<0,3(b+d) where b is height of link of leaf chain; d is outer diameter of leaf chain bushing.
EFFECT: simplified design of elevator drive, improved reliability of its operation.
