FIELD: ink-jet printers; methods for reduction of dimensions of a printer contacts surface.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to a cartridge of a print head and to a method to decrease dimensions of a printer contacts surface used for making electric connections with the cartridge of the print head, and also to the ink-jet printer and a flexible printed circuit card of an ink-jet printer. The cartridge of the print head mounted inside of the slide of the printer is capable to move together with the slide in the first direction inside the printer. The cartridge of the print head contains an inkwell for storing an ink, which has a front surface and a bottom surface, on which the print head is mounted, and a set of contacts for reception of signals coming from the printer, and for signals transmission to the print head. The axial line of the front surface passing perpendicularly to the first direction divides the front surface into the equal first and second sides. The contacts are on the front surface. At that the number of the contacts on the first side exceeds their number on the second side. It ensures a decrease of the contact surface area and accordingly the cost of an ink-jet cartridge, the flexible printed-circuit card, the ink-jet printing device and the printer as a whole.
