FIELD: food containers, particularly sealing means thereof.
SUBSTANCE: sealing device may be arranged on container rim. The sealing device comprises flexible central panel formed as separate member and connected to substantially rigid peripheral mounting ring. The mounting ring may be snap-fitted onto container rim. Central panel may be selectively curved inside and outside the container in the case of completely or incompletely container filling due to change of container head space defined under the sealing means installed on the container.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of container sealing, simplified installation and/or removing of the sealing device.
