FIELD: mechanical engineering; turbocharged engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed invention, turbine of internal combustion engine consists of narrowing channels of guide vane assembly and wheel. With engine operating at maximum torque, flow area of channel in axial part of wheel and in space behind the wheel is minimum. With engine operating at rated power, channel in axial part of wheel and in space behind the wheel widens. Cylindrical surface of channel of Francis turbine in axial part of wheel and behind the wheel is formed by at least three arc-shaped plates placed in turbine housing. Each plate is installed at rear side through lever on axle made in turbine housing for turning in radial direction. Each plate is hinge-connected through rod with lever of neighbor plate so that at turning of level of one plate through definite angle, levers of other plates turn also through same angle.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of control of supercharging.
