FIELD: mining art, applicable for mining of hard rocks in restricted conditions, when it is necessary to exclude scattering of the blasted rock mass.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in drilling of blast holes, their loading, sheltering of the bulk to be blasted by mats of anchor chains and blasting of rocks. A horizontal chain mat is placed on the surface of the bench, and its edge opposite the bench is fastened by the anchors installed in not deep holes with the aid of cables or thin chains. The chain mat on the side slope of the bench is so placed that the lower edge would lie down on the bottom of the bench, at least 2m long, and its upper edge is joined to a horizontal chain mat by a quick-detachable device. The blast network is mounted over the chain mats, and the sheltered bench is blasted. After the blast the chain mats may be removed with the aid of a bulldozers by the cables removed from the anchors.
EFFECT: enhanced safety of blasting due to prevention of scattering of pieces of the rock under the slope of the benches.
