FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: fiber optic transducer can be used for measuring gas concentration for example water steams and hydrocarbon having absorption spectrum belonging to IR spectrum (2,5-4 mcm). Fiber-optic transducer has optical radiation source, first fiber light-guide, dish for tested medium, information signal receiving and processing unit, optical radiation frequency converter disposed between first fiber light-guide and dish for tested medium, optical radiation receiver disposed at output of the dish and information signal transmitting unit. Input of the latter is connected with output of optical radiation receiver. Optical radiation frequency converter can be made of fluorescent material as well as in form of LED which has its power input connected with image converter tube.

EFFECT: widened area of application; increased speed of operation; higher sensitivity.
