SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of sensors/instruments/devices for determining the concentration of substances in aqueous solutions and biological suspensions, by immersion in the volume of measured solutions or biological suspensions. The optical fiber sensor is an assembly containing a Y-shaped fiber optic bundle with a composite core, composed of two physically mixed bundles of fibers designed to separate the optical paths of excitation and registration of the optical signal. Opposite the end of the first bundle of fibers of the Y-shaped fiber-optic bundle, an excitation radiation emitter and a light filter are sequentially placed. Opposite the end of the second bundle of fibers of the Y-shaped fiber optic bundle, a light filter and a photodetector are sequentially placed, and opposite the common end of the fiber optic bundle, which is made flat, there is a device for placing a sensitive material/film with an indicator, and the sensor is designed in such a way that when an indicator is added to the analyzed sample the common end is in direct contact with the solution.

EFFECT: exclusion from registration of ambient light that lies outside the solid angle (volume) determined by the fiber aperture, while the sensor has increased speed, sensitivity and noise immunity.
