ROTARY WELDING ON WIRE FEEDING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: apparatuses for feeding welding -on electrode or additive wire to burning zone of electric arc at high-speed argon-arc welding on.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes rotary cartridge for wire, mouthpiece for welding on, wire feed mechanism in housing. Said mechanism includes mounted in housing: centering sleeve, casing with two pairs of drawing rollers, unit for regulating effort of roller pressing to wire, circuit for turning on and off, reversing wire feed, changing wire feed rate, unit for controlling effort of pressing fused end of wire to part. Centering sleeve is arranged in upper part of housing. Drawing rollers are in the form of ball bearing assemblies. Rotary cartridge is mounted directly in shaft of electric motor at side of housing of wire feed mechanism; rotation axis of cartridge is coincided with axis of duct for feeding wire. Casing with rollers is arranged between centering sleeve and welding-on mouthpiece. Leveling bushings equally spaced one from other are arranged in housing of wire feed mechanism along axis of duct for feeding wire; number of said bushings is equal to (2n + 1) where n = 1, 2, 4, 8.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of argon-arc welding-on process, improved quality of welded-on layer.
