CAR HOOD-TO-FENDER JOINT UNIT Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry; body front parts.

SUBSTANCE: proposed hood-to-fender joint unit has longitudinal water drip chute made in upper part of fender in which elastic buffer is fitted in. Said elastic buffer consists of damping part engaging with hood and mounting means. Base of elastic buffer arranged on bottom part of water drip chute pointed to hood is provided with fixing element. Said fixing element arranged in through hole of bottom part of water drip chute secures buffer on fender by V-shaped end part thrusting against surface of reverse side of water drip chute.

EFFECT: improved reliability of mounting of elastic buffer between hood and fender of car, reduced wear of buffer.
