SUBSTANCE: device has analog-digital converter, central microprocessor unit, digital-analog converter, random-access memory device, electrically erasable read-only memory device, device for control and indication, real time clock, communication channel to personal computer. In accordance to method, in first mode output low-frequency analog video signal is generated and characteristic differences between digital data are detected, query is performed about presence of signal from alarm sensor and differences between digital data are found, appropriate video frames are found and supplemented with service marks, video frames are compressed, in second mode adjustments of recording and reading mode for digital data are altered, compression coefficient is altered, service marks are made and removed and then transferred to personal computer.

EFFECT: extended dynamic range and enhanced functional capabilities of video memory block.
