FIELD: the invention refers to radio technique.
SUBSTANCE: it may be used for direction finding of radio signals of sources of emission of radio frequencies under conditions of changing intensity during the interval of taking bearing and the form of the spectrum of signals and also in such cases when aerial components applied in the antenna system of the direction finder have essential directed characteristics. The invention envisages the reception of radio signals of the antenna system having a n number of aerial elements forming no less than two pairs, sequential in time transformation of the signals of each pair of the aerial elements with two-channel receiver with a common oscillator, getting spectral characteristics of the signals of each channel and computation of a complex reciprocated spectrum for each pair of the aerial elements, separation of spectral components exceeding the established threshold, computation according to the formula of the maximum of two-dimensional diagram of the direction of the aerial components. According to the orientation of this maximum the magnitude of the bearing is determined. At that the number of the aerial components, the number of pairs formed by them, the number of aerial elements chosen for measuring of an amplitude and a phase difference of the channel, reciprocal location of the aerial element and the antenna system is determined on the basis of the analysis of the support function.
EFFECT: increases accuracy of direction finding.
