FIELD: radio engineering, establishment of location of sources of radio emission. SUBSTANCE: method includes reception of radio signals by N-element array, measurement of complex amplitudes of pairs of signals characterizing phase difference between signals received by all possible pairs of antenna elements by way of time-successive measurement of amplitudes of signals and signal combinations across chosen pairs of antenna elements. Formation of twodimensional angular spectra of taken bearings on basis of measured complex amplitudes of pairs of signals with due account of known relative position of antenna elements which are utilized to find azimuths and angles of elevation of radio signals. Direction finder for realization of method has antenna array, antenna switch, unit forming measurement signals, receiver, unit determining amplitudes of signals, storage of signal amplitudes, computer of complex amplitudes of pairs of signals, bearing computer and generator of synchronization pulses.
