FIELD: medicine, in particular, equipment for performing therapeutic and sanitation-prophylactic massaging of human body.
SUBSTANCE: massaging apparatus has casing consisting of two parallel supports connected with one another through transverse members so as to define rectangular frame. Massaging members are arranged in row within frame for rotation around parallel axes extending perpendicular to supports, said massaging members being designed for action at various temperatures. Casing of massaging apparatus is equipped with handle. Massaging member for action at various temperatures is made in the form of hermetically sealed container filled with coolant or substance having high thermal capacity. Massaging members filled with coolant and massaging members filled with substance having high thermal capacity are alternatively arranged on each pin in longitudinal and transverse rows. Pins of massaging members are rigidly connected at their one ends with plank. Free ends of pins are arranged on lower surface of support, in slots closed with detachable U-shaped retainer having spring-loaded curved ends. Protrusions of various shapes are provided on working surface of massaging members. Massaging apparatus of such construction enables massaging of variously oriented surfaces of patient's body, i.e., in horizontal, vertical or inclined planes.
EFFECT: increased massaging efficiency owing to intensified thermal contrasting action.
