FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, flow of exhaust gases is passed through catalytic soot coarse filter. Then gas flow is passed intake inside housing of device for cleaning exhaust gases of internal combustion engine for settling soot on catalyst on inner surface of housing. Catalyst is applied to surface of siliceous cloth secured on inner surface of housing of device for cleaning exhaust gases and is made on basis of multiple oxide CuxCO2+ yCO3+ 2ySrzZr0,5zTi1-(0,5x+2y+z)O2. Gas flow passes over envelope accommodating catalytic soot fine filter, proposed catalytic nitrogen oxides reducing unit and porous catalytic carbon oxide and hydrocarbons oxiding unit. Then direction of gas flow is changed, and gas is passed through catalytic soot fine filter, catalytic nitrogen reducing unit and carbon oxide and hydrocarbons oxiding units arranged inside said envelope. Prior to discharging into exhaust branch pipe, gas flow is passed through flame suppression filter fro cooling and then is passed resonance chamber to reduced acoustic vibrations. Description of device for implementing the method is provided. Use of proposed method of exhaust gas cleaning and device for its implementing increase efficiency of cleaning of exhaust gases from harmful admixtures when starts operating at low ambient temperatures and in wide temperature range.
EFFECT: reduced cost of device, and noise in operation of engine.
