FIELD: measuring engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises measuring signal u =f(τ) generated when two-phase flow interacts with the electrical contact probe positioned perpendicular to the inflowing two-phase fluid and using dependence u = f(τ) for determining the points of intersection of the fronts, which occur when phases interact with the electrical contact probe, with the discrimination level determined with regard to the actual volume vapor content. The velocity of the phase interface is determined from the formulae presented.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy.
