FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: device can be used for estimation of level of distortions and indication of their presence caused by limitation of output voltage in non-linear four-terminal networks, for example, sonic frequency amplifiers. Device has analog-to-digital converter, amplitude discriminator and indicator. Principle of operation of the device is based on tracking of readings of tested signal subject to restrictions and selection of fragments of signal by means of amplitude discriminator. Fragments are selected which are composed by readings with equal meanings. Amplitude discriminator has N registers, comparator with N+1 inputs and monostable multivibrator. Precision of indication of distortions can be improved due to taking shaped of signal distorted into account.
EFFECT: improved precision of indication.
