FIELD: indicating equipment engineering, possible use for construction of vacuum-type fluorescent displays with oxide cathode, for example, straight-channeled one.
SUBSTANCE: method for controlling vacuum-type fluorescent displays includes feeding voltages to controlling electrodes of net and to phosphor-covered anodes, cathode, heating voltage is fed to cathode of different value during displays lifespan, while lighting brightness value, functionally depending on heating voltage, is maintained constant during lifespan, i.e. following condition is met: Lt=Lo=const, where Lo - starting lighting brightness, Lt - current lighting brightness during lifespan.
EFFECT: higher comfort of reading information from vacuum-type fluorescent displays due to stabilization of starting lighting brightness during lifespan.
