FIELD: display engineering; textual and graphical information displays.
SUBSTANCE: fluorescent display has cathodes placed inside transparent shell and provided with external leads, as well as substrate carrying phosphor-covered pixel-anodes that form pixel lines of matrix information field and electronic control circuit for pixel-anodes provided with external leads; cathodes are equally spaced apart along pixel lines. First cathode is disposed along first pixel line and last one, along last pixel line. Mounted on substrate beyond information field are additional first, second, and third anodes which are not covered with phosphor. First additional anodes are electrically interconnected, provided with external lead, and disposed near lines under first and last cathodes. Second additional anodes are electrically interconnected, provided with external lead, and disposed near lines at equal distance from first additional anodes. Third additional anodes are electrically interconnected, provided with external lead, and disposed near lines at equal distance from first and second additional anodes.
EFFECT: improved quality of displayed information due to uniform phosphor glow and high uniformity of electron current density of anodes.
