FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed wheel has rim with flanges, central hub with fasteners of wheel and disk part with through ports connecting rim with hub. Ports changed in peripheral zone into cavities on rim from front side of wheel. In each pair port-cavity any normal section in planes parallel to wheel axle is limited from front side of wheel by section of line including section of straight line lying in plane perpendicular to wheel axle, section of second straight line forming angle α with first section and arc of circumference with radius R1 tangential to both section. Value of radius R1 is found from expression R1=(0.1-0.6)K where K is distance along wheel axis from its front size surface to bottom of cavity; angle α lies within .
EFFECT: reduced specific metal content of wheel, improved manufacturability.
