FIELD: transport engineering; wheels of vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wheels manufactured from light alloys by hot die forging. Proposed wheel has disk part and rim in form of solid of revolution limited from outer side by support flats for tire with front and rear flanges, respectively, from one side and humps from other side. Cavity for mounting of tire is made in part of rim between humps adjoining the humps with sections in form of mating pair of envelopes in zone of minimum diametral sizes of outer surfaces, with conical outer surfaces and inner surfaces with straight-line gyniatrics in meridional plane. Said envelopes are pointed in different directions relative to said zone by larger diametral sizes of outer surfaces. Said envelopes have cone angles of outer surface, respectively, α(2-9)° and β(25-80)°, rim in zone corresponding to section of cavity with angle of cone α made of variable thickness along axis of wheel. Rim is mated with disk part at edge of disk part of said zones in place where thickness of said zone is maximum.
EFFECT: reduced mass of wheel at preservation of strength characteristics.
