FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises making panels with cells which are made of, e.g., truncated cones. The panels are made by molding or pressing woven reinforcing materials, e.g., fiber glass impregnated with a binder. The stack has at least two panels whose tops point in the same direction, and cross-shaped surface cross-pieces between the cells on the other side by abutting them over the outer sides. When abutting the panels, the tops of the cells of one panel are arranges in the hollows defined by the cross-shaped cross-pieces in the other panel to define closed spaces of various volumes. The stack is then secured to the inner and outer shells. The shell exposing to the gas flow is perforated by through openings to define resonators together with the cells of the panels.
EFFECT: decreased noise and simplified producing.
