FIELD: mechanical engineering; plasma technology.

SUBSTANCE: plasma generator can be used at plasma cutting, welding, facing, metallurgy and plasma chemistry. Water-steam plasma generator has case provided with cooling jacket which is made at lower of the case, electric holder mounted in case of, electrode fixed in electric holder, nozzle fastened to case to have space relatively electrode which forms chamber of arc forming. Plasma generator also has cooling system in form of channels and branches inside case, water supplying branch provided with regulator, steam generator provided with heating element. Steam generator is fastened to non-operating end of plasma generator and connected with arc forming chamber and with cooling chamber. Case is provided with protective housing mounted at nozzle's area. Cooling system is provided with steam condenser mounted at operating end of plasma generator and capillary-porous structures which have water supply and stem removal channels mounted at external surface of nozzle inside space between steam condenser and cooling jacket and in space between steam condenser adjoining nozzle and protective housing connected to case, as well as in cooling jacket, onto internal space of steam generator and in vertical space between internal surface of electrode and water supplying pipe. Density of current of plasma arc is increased due to increment in degree of its reduction. Resistance of nozzle and electrode is increased due to increment in intensification of heat removal from heat-loaded parts of plasma generator's structure.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation.
