ROOT CLEANER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A01D33/08 

FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: root cleaner has frame and sectors secured on frame, multiple-thread screw mounted on sectors, rolls with helical coil, lattice and board. Cleaner is further equipped with conical charging tray having base with radius equal to that of lattice. Tray is spaced from lattice by 25-55 mm gap. Screw coils arranged in the vicinity of charging tray have ends bent to side opposite to direction of rotation of screw. Helical coil part adjoining discharge window of each cleaning roll has increasing pitch and/or changes its direction of rotation of screw.

EFFECT: reduced damage to roots and improved quality of cleaning said roots.
