FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for treatment and prophylaxis of ophthalmic diseases associated with ischemia in eye tissues. For this aim in the case of the induced pathology accompanying with eye tissue ischemia method involves administration inhibitors of angiotensin-converting enzyme as medicinal agents in the form of instillation or topical injections. Method provides acceleration of vascularization and reducing area of the ischemia zone.
EFFECT: improved method for treatment and prophylaxis.
