FIELD: aeronautical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed water intake device has water duct and mechanism for extension and retraction of water duct. Scoop of water intake device is articulated on water duct body. Water duct extension and retraction mechanism has hydraulic cylinder and shaft on which unit for emergency holding of mechanism is retracted position is secured. Retraction and extension mechanism is provided with damper for engagement of shaft with hydraulic cylinder. Emergency holding unit is made in form of ratchet with sensor showing emergency retracted position.
EFFECT: increased service life; enhanced operational reliability.
