FIELD: toothed clutches, mainly for joining shafts with use of intermediate shaft, especially with toothed clutches of spindles of rolling mills.

SUBSTANCE: clutch includes toothed sleeve with outer barrel like teeth and holder with inner teeth having cross involute profile and longitudinal rectangular profile and engaged with teeth of sleeve. Cross profile of sleeve teeth is modified and it coincides on pitch circle with theoretical involute profile and has fluctuation of theoretical profile directed inside body of tooth at both sides from pitch circle. Said fluctuation is determined on base of difference of fluctuations of modified and theoretical profiles from tangent line to theoretical profile in point on pitch circle according to expression f = x 2/2ρ r where f - fluctuation of modified profile of sleeve tooth from theoretical value; x - distance along line tangent to theoretical profile of tooth from point on pitch circle till section of tooth by plane normal relative to tangent line in which value f is determined; ρr - curvature radius of cross section of sleeve teeth and holder teeth in point of their contact on pitch circle determined with use of relation ρr = (250m2.53 Rb0.36 z1.26cosαw0.63)/Mn0.63 where m - module of sleeve teeth; Rb - barrel-like curvature radius in longitudinal section passing through point of tooth profile on pitch circle normally relative to line tangent to tooth profile in said point; Mn - nominal torque transmitted by means of clutch; z -number of teeth of sleeve; αw - theoretical angle of profile of sleeve teeth. Cross profile of teeth is formed as envelope of direct-side gear cutting rack (axial section of worm milling cutter) having concave front surface of direct-side teeth with concavity degree determined according to formula fΦ = f /sin αz , where f - fluctuation of modified profile of sleeve tooth from theoretical involute value; αz - angle of back lateral surfaces of direct-side teeth of worm milling cutter.

EFFECT: increased loading capability and useful life period of clutches, mainly for joining shafts with use of intermediate shaft, especially clutches of spindles of rolling mills, shortened idling periods, enhanced efficiency of mills, improved accuracy of rolling, high quality of rolled strips.
