FIELD: railway transport; boxcar doors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of doors of boxcars. Boxcar door locking mechanism 1 includes holders 3 and cams 4 interacting with holders and secured on vertical shaft 5 rigidly coupled with rotary handle 6 fixed by locking device 7. Holders 3 are rigidly secured on side wing of sliding door. Members of upper and lower three-member control drives, 8 and 9, respectively, are hinge-connected with frame of car body. Members are hinge-interconnected and installed for turning relative to vertical axles. Vertical shaft with cams at ends is secured for rotation around its longitudinal axle on members of upper and lower control drive. Vertical shaft 13 of additional fixing unit of control drive members, with rotary handle 14 and catch 15, is hinge-mounted on end face wall 2 of body. It is designed interaction with stop 16 secured on one of members of control drive.
EFFECT: improved reliability of door locking.
