FIELD: wind power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed windmill electric generating station contains windwheel with rim installed on tower and secured on horizontal axle, carriage with electric generator whose drive shaft is provided with roller in contact with external surface of windwheel rim. Carriage is hinge-coupled with fixed base for displacement relative to rim of windwheel.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved reliability owing to reduction of losses at transmission of energy to shaft of electric generator and changing of pressure of roller to windwheel rim in operation of change of antitorque moment on generator shaft.
