FIELD: electrical engineering; overtemperature protection of switching equipment and threaded contact joints of current-carrying parts and power circuits responding to temperature rise.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for protection of switching equipment and threaded contact joints of current-carrying parts includes checkup of switching equipment terminals for temperature deviation from normal value by installing temperature deviation checkup device in switching equipment terminal and tightening of switching equipment terminal made upon occurrence of odor field that points to inadmissible deviation of terminal temperature from normal. Device implementing this method has substrate-mounted temperature sensor incorporating air-tight spaces and at least one component made of material capable of transferring from solid to liquid phase in case of inadmissible temperature increase; novelty is that device has in addition thermoprobe mounted on other side of substrate and that temperature sensor is made in the form of container, air-tight spaces of temperature sensor being formed by partition made of material capable of transferring from solid to liquid phase in case inadmissible temperature increase and filled with materials responding to odorous gas.
EFFECT: enhanced capability of inflammation prevention due to timely delivered true data on temperature of zones most prone to inflammation.
