METHOD FOR STRENGTHENING RIMA PUDENDI IN COWS Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2269303 C2

FIELD: veterinary science, obstetrics.

SUBSTANCE: one should apply single-type mattress horizontal sutures layer by layer. Moreover, the first layer consisting of 5-6 mattress horizontal sutures should be applied onto rima pudendi stepping 3.0 cm against transition of vulval skin into mucosa. Needle should be punctured in perpendicularly to rima pudendi, then ligature should be applied subcutaneously in lateral direction, then it should be withdrawn onto skin surface from the opposite side of rima pudendi at the distance of 3.0 cm against it. Then stepping ventrally about 3.0-4.0 cm the same ligature should be applied subcutaneously with a needle to direct it being parallel to its first application in back direction onto opposite side of rima pudendi. Then it is important to withdraw ligature onto skin surface at the distance of 3.0 cm against rima pudendi and about 3.0-4.0 cm ventrally against initial site of its subcutaneous introduction. Both ends of one and the same ligature should be bound with surgical knot by pre-bringing together the edges of rima pudendi. Then one should apply the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth and the sixth sutures. The second layer of similar sutures should be performed at the distance of about 2.0-3.0 cm against the first layer, moreover, sutures of the first layer should be applied into pelvic cavity, then one should apply mattress horizontal sutures of the third layer. For this purpose it is necessary to step about 2.0-3.0 cm against the second layer, moreover, sutures of the second layer with tissues of rima pudendi and adjacent skin sections with subcutaneous fiber should be, also, applied into pelvic cavity. The innovation decreases the chance for mucosal and vaginal membrane inflammation and excludes repeated uterine prolapse.

EFFECT: higher efficiency.
