FIELD: mechanical engineering; antifriction bearings.
SUBSTANCE: proposed cage of antifriction bearing is made in form of two similar cage halves with sockets for rolling elements. Cage halves are connected by tongues formed from material of cage halves with ports, are bent axially and enclose lands of adjacent cage half. Tongues are displaced from middles of lands towards sockets to side of ports, and their free edges are narrowed, and tops are rounded off. Through holes are made in lands which are arranged relative to middles of lands symmetrically relative to tongues fitted in holes of lands of adjacent cage half. Sizes of lands, tongues and holes in lands correspond to each other. Holes in lands can be made in form of ports. Steps can be made on side surfaces of tongues to form locks with lands and their holes. Holes can be made in tongues.
EFFECT: provision of automatic riveting of cage when assembling antifriction bearing.
