FIELD: machine engineering, namely roll bearing units. SUBSTANCE: roll bearing includes two races and cage with balls in gap between races. Balls are alternatively shifted in opposite sides in axial direction towards edges of raceways and they are elastically fixed in such position. Spiral cage includes two forged cage halves in the form of rings with seats for balls and with bridges between seats. Each subsequent seat has different depth; cage halves are joined in zone of bridges by means of pin spring-loaded at one side. In variant cage halves are rigidly coupled one with another in zone of bridges; adjacent seats are shifted one relative to another in axial direction. Cages are made of resilient steel. Cage may be made of material with shape memory property. Crown-type cage in the form of annular part with seats for balls is made of resilient material also with seats shifted one relative to another in axial direction.
