SUBSTANCE: the device has input "plus" and "minus" terminals designed for connection to the busbars of the primary power supply source, output "plus" and "minus" terminals designed for connection to the load, as well as a transformer, rectifier, ripple filter, first capacitor, electronic switch, control circuit, a transistor is introduced, the collector of this transistor, connected to the "plus" input terminal, is connected to the base of the transistor via the first resistor, the transistor base is connected to the "minus" input terminal via the second capacitor, and the transistor emitter, connected to the "plus" lead of the first capacitor, is connected to the transistor base via the third capacitor and the circuit parallel to it, the circuit consists of series-connected additional secondary transformer winding, diode and the second resistor.

EFFECT: limited input starting current without an essential loss of power and reduction of the unit efficiency.
