SUBSTANCE: the device has input "plus" and "minus" terminals designed for connection to the busbars of the primary power supply source, output "plus" and "minus" terminals designed for connection to the load, as well as a transformer, rectifier, ripple filter, first capacitor, electronic switch, control circuit, a transistor is introduced, the collector of this transistor, connected to the "plus" input terminal, is connected to the base of the transistor via the first resistor, the transistor emitter, connected to the "plus" lead of the first capacitor, is connected to the transistor base via the second capacitor, and the transistor base is connected to the "minus" input terminal via the third capacitor and to the second lead of the transformer primary winding via the series-connected second resistor and the diode.

EFFECT: limited input starting current without an essential loss of power and reduction of the unit efficiency.
