FIELD: machine engineering, namely apparatuses for electromagnetic agitation of electrically conducting liquid media.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes traveling-field magnetic circuits and rotating field magnetic circuits. Traveling field magnetic circuits are in the form of comb members arranged along radius in equal angular intervals around heat screen; their teeth are turned inside apparatus. In intervals between teeth annular winding of traveling field are arranged. Comb members are embraced by magnetic circuit of rotating field in the form of annular core. The last is embraced by rotating-field windings arranged between comb members. Cooler is arranged between comb members of magnetic circuits between rotating-field windings and heat screen and between annular windings of traveling field. Cooler is in the form of comb members divided by means of partitions.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, increased useful life period and operational reliability of apparatus, high degree of cooling.
