FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgical equipment, namely to devices intended for contactless electromagnetic mixing of liquid metals, for example, aluminium and its alloys, at once in four crucibles or in four thermal nozzles above crystallizers in continuous casting machines. Electrically conductive liquid media mixing device comprises a rotating field enveloping magnetic conductor in the form of a square, in the corners of which there are four heat shields, around them at angular intervals of 90° comb-type magnetic conductors are located, having rectangular projections in the central part on the opposite side of the teeth. In gaps between teeth of comb-type magnetic conductors there are circular windings of traveling field, and windings of rotating magnetic field are located on rectangular projections. Comb-type magnetic conductors located along the perimeter of the enveloping magnetic conductor have a tight contact with the latter by means of rectangular projections, and comb-like opposed magnetic conductors located inside have a close contact with each other by means of rectangular projections.
EFFECT: simplification of assembly during manufacturing and increase in device productivity.
