FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed seat of operator of self-propelled agricultural machine has base, frame with cushion and backrest interconnected by guide arrangement in form of upper and lower pair of strips arranged in parallel relative to each other whose ends are hinge-connected, respectively, on upper and lower brackets of base and frame of seat, and shock absorber made in form of suspension with damper arranged between base and upper pair of strips and suspension rate adjuster consisting of lower support flange of resilient member of suspension in form of coil spring hinge-secured on base and upper thrust flange hinge-connected with slider made of antifriction material engaging with upper pair of rigidly interconnected strips and provided with relatively perpendicular intersecting holes, some of which are made smooth and which engage with cylindrical adjustable supports of upper thrust flange, and others, threaded ones, interact with adjustable screw. Flexible member of suspension is made sectional consisting of three series-connected flexible members one of which is said coil spring arranged in middle part of flexible member and elastomer flexible members fitted from top and bottom, one being arranged in cup of lower support flange hinge-connected with base and the other, in cup of upper thrust flange hinge-coupled with suspension rate adjuster. Damper is made in form of upper and lower sleeves coaxially arranged and secured, respectively, on lower support and upper thrust flanges. Insert made of friction material is placed in clearance between sleeves being rigidly secured on surface of one of sleeves. Coil spring can be either conical or cylindrically conical. Ratio of rigidity of conical and cylindrical parts of coil spring is within optimum range of values.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of vibration isolation owing to provision of equal frequency properties of flexible suspension of seat.
