FIELD: aircraft industry, structural materials.
SUBSTANCE: claimed material contains (mass %) sintered silicium dioxide of 7-12 % porosity 98.0-99.0 and organosiloxane resin (e.g., methylphenylspirosiloxane) 1.0-2.0. Method of invention includes impregnation of sintered silicium dioxide with organosiloxane resin followed by drying in air for 3-24 h and polymerization at 200-230°C for 3-4 h. Material of present invention has resistance increased by 30-50 % as compared with starting material and is useful in production of antenna dome working at 950°C without losses of characteristics.
EFFECT: composite material for aircraft industry of improved characteristics.
