FIELD: aeronautical and mechanical engineering; manufacture of parts from structural materials, missile aerial fairings in particular.
SUBSTANCE: proposed material is used for manufacture of missile aerial fairings working at temperature of 900°C for a short period of time with no change in their radiotechnical characteristics. Proposed composite material on base of silicone dioxide contains sintered silicon dioxide, titanium silicone organic resin and modified epoxy resin whose molecule includes silicone and titanium atoms at the following ratio of components, mass-%: sintered silicone dioxide, 98.0-99.0 and silicone organic resin and modified epoxy resin at equal ratio, 1.0-2.0.
EFFECT: enhanced strength characteristics of material.
