FIELD: mechanical engineering; methods of production of wear-resisting coatings for cutting tools.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular, to the methods of production of the wear-resisting coatings for cutting tools and may be used in a metal working. The method provides for a vacuum-plasma deposition of a wear-resisting coating based on titanium-chrome nitride or carbonitride. As an alloying ingredient for the coating is used zirconium. The coating is applied by two located horizontally in a single plane and inversely directed composite cathodes containing titanium and chrome and a placed between them composite cathode containing titanium and zirconium. The technical result of the invention is an increased serviceability of the cutting tools.
EFFECT: the invention ensures an increased serviceability of the cutting tools.
