FIELD: medicine, cardiosurgery.
SUBSTANCE: one should carry out puncture, drainage of pericardial cavity and develop pneumopericardium beforehand followed by roentgenological and echocardiographic evaluation of pericardial thickness. At pericardial thickness value of below 5-6 mm one should fulfill thoracoscopic pericardial fenestration. The innovation enables to prevent repeated manipulations on pericardial cavitary drainages and/or subtotal pericardial resection and decrease post-operational lethality.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
