SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to cardiosurgery, thoracic surgery and operative oncology, and can be used in extensive pericardium defects plasty. That is ensured by closing a formed pericardium defect with an implant to be fixed to the pericardium circumferentially. In the formed pericardium defect, a cut out mesh implant projecting out the defect edges by at least 10 mm at mesh size 150-500 mcm and mixed by textile technology of superelastic Ti-Ni filament of thickness 40-60 mcm is laid and fixed to the pericardium with superelastic Ti-Ni filament of thickness 40-60 mcm. And the implant is fixed to the pericardium circumferentially by staggered interrupted sutures of stitch length 5-6 mm and distance 12-15 mm. Then a free edge of the implant is fixed to the pericardium at first, and then the pericardium defect edge is fixed to the implant with the knots tightened from the outside on the implant surface.

EFFECT: method allows reducing a number of postoperative complications and improving reliability of pericardium defect plasty.
