TRANSCATHETER THORACOSCOPIC METHOD FOR MITRAL VALVE REPLACEMENT IN PATIENTS WITH EXTREME RISK OF SURGICAL TREATMENT (OPTIONS) Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61F2/24

Abstract RU 2675068 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely cardiovascular surgery. Perform general anesthesia, separate ventilation, transesophageal echocardiography, fluoroscopic monitoring. Mitral valve is implanted in two ways using four trocar ports. Prosthetics are performed in a straight axis through the left atrium, setting the device in a previously affected mitral valve. In another embodiment, in the case of a pronounced adhesion process, implantation is performed through the right atrium with puncture of the interatrial septum in the area of the oval fossa, leading the device to a previously affected mitral valve.

EFFECT: group of inventions allows to reduce the invasiveness of the operation performed, by performing a prosthetic mitral valve without performing sternotomy and thoracotomy, eliminating the use of artificial blood circulation and cardioplegic cardiac arrest, it allows to minimize the development of such serious postoperative complications as heart failure and bleeding.
