METHOD FOR FORMING AND CONNECTING SKIN WOUND EDGES AT REMOVING HYPERTROPHIC CICATRICES Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine, plastic and esthetic surgery.

SUBSTANCE: one should fulfill an arch-shaped incision of the whole skin thickness around cicatrix. At the top of incision arch of one wound edge one should form a connective tissue tongue-like fragment at its bottom being equal to one third of incision line length and the top being equal to the distance between the arches of the incision made. Then, in hypoderma of wound's opposite edge, in projection of tongue-like fragment, one should form a tunnel that corresponds to fragment's sizes. Then this tongue-like fragment should be placed and fixed with sutures in the tunnel developed. The innovation enables to form a thin linear cicatrix and, thus, high cosmetic effect.
